Henry Lewis celebrated his 100th Birthday on 12 October and I had the honour of being part of a special evening at The Magic Circle to mark the occasion.

Henry has been a member of The Magic Circle since 1946 and has had an incredible life filled with magic. A past vice president of the society and former curator of the museum, he knew many of the great magicians of the past and has amazing stories of performing during World War Two.

My highlight was seeing the audience rise to their feet as Henry took to the stage to cut the cake and, after initially being speechless, saying a few words at the end of the evening. Happy Birthday Henry!
