What a start to 2020... yesterday I was voted The Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year and became the first person to win all three of the society’s competitions!
Last year I discovered a photo of me, aged seven, taken on the day I saw my first magician. I was convinced that his simple, powerful magic was real. That experience inspired me to create original illusions to share that joy with other people.
So I was very excited to perform two of those creations for the first time at The Magic Circle last night and delighted to have won The Close-Up Magician of the Year 2020.
Ten year old me dreamt of one day being a member of the famous Magic Circle. Now it feels like home and I feel so lucky to have the most generous and talented friends who support me.
