2020 was full of challenges and surprises, but I feel lucky for these memories in between the madness.

The year started on a high when I was awarded The Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year 2020, closely followed by The Magic Circle President, Noel Britten, promoting me to a Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star!

February came and I got to spend time with three of my heroes at the Blackpool Magic Convention.

An amazing start to the year when we were blissfully unaware of what was to come…

After the initial shock of lockdown and shows disappearing, I got creative to make the most of the situation.

I offered free consultancy to magicians and really enjoyed collaborating with a variety of performers. For those starting out, I opened a magic shop and I love hearing from new magicians on the beginning of their journey!

With the future of live shows uncertain, I decided to share videos featuring highlights of my shows and also created an online magic show which has allowed me to perform all over the world, despite being stuck at home!

Just as I was coming to terms with not performing live this year, I was chosen to be part of a new weekly show in London. And so came the changes to make everything Covid-safe: audiences socially-distanced, face masks, temperature checks and plenty of hand sanitiser… It was certainly a challenge, but I felt so lucky to be sharing magic live, with intimate audiences hungry for entertainment. However with this being 2020, another twist wasn’t far away and just as we were getting into the swing of things, the second lockdown came and once again live shows are now on hold.

It’s been incredible seeing artists come together and find new ways to share their work.

If you’ve come to one of my shows this year, bought something from my shop or even watched one of my videos, thank you for your support.

Stay safe and wishing you all the best for 2021.
