I had an amazing time in Las Vegas. The main purpose of the trip was to perform in the World Stars of Magic Show. It was incredible to share the stage with so many fantastic performers for 4 nights.
Christopher Hart (also known as 'Thing', the disembodied hand from The Addams Family!) was wonderfully unique. Sos and Victoria have simply one of the most magical acts you will ever see, continuously changing their costumes faster than anyone else on the Planet - they have the Guinness World Records to prove it! Sos Junior and Tigran both showed great promise and I'm sure will follow in their parents footsteps! Kyle and Mistie Knight performed some amazing illusions with style. And finally, Jeff Hobson is simply the best comedy magician I have ever seen - both incredibly funny and extremely magical, exactly how it should be! The show was all held together by the fantastic host, and fellow Brit, Ben Stone.
Before the show started, I was at the Innovention, an intimate magic convention which was dedicated to the amazing magician and hypnotist Peter Reveen. Many magical legends appeared throughout the convention to perform, lecture and share their stories of times with Peter. The last night of the convention coincided with Roy Horn's Birthday (one half of Siegfried & Roy), so there were extra celebrations in his honour!
I was lucky to meet many of my magical heroes, some not for the first time!
I also performed in Kyle Marlett's new show, "It's Tricky". Kyle is a fantastic performer, extremely creative, and I'm thrilled to hear he has new contracts popping up. Well deserved!
Gary Darwin is one of the funniest and most inspiring people I've ever met. He has a line for everything and says exactly what he thinks! A true magical genius and one of the nicest people too. Gary was kind enough to give me and a few others a tour around his house which is better thought of as a museum! It is home to so much incredible magic - props, history, photographs, Gary has it all, and lots of it!
I even had time to do a little filming for my new showreel!
A wonderful trip filled with many amazing memories, but the photo below was my absolute highlight. Until next time Vegas...
