I loved everything about this new show. Based on the cult film, Groundhog Day is an intelligent musical featuring stunning design, a fantastic cast and some incredible magic (from the genius Paul Kieve) woven into the story.
The music, written by Tim Minchin, is the perfect balance of being smart, heartwarming and funny, while also containing a few of his signature twists.
The five star reviews have been flooding in, although its success shouldn't be too much of a surprise as most of the creative team were also responsible for Matilda The Musical - still one of my favourite shows.
