I loved performing in ‘The Magnificent Music Hall’ at the beautiful New Wimbledon Theatre.
A show of its time, there really is nothing else like it. A spectacle of singing, dancing, acting, comedy and magic. You can’t see anything like it on TV, so go and see it live! The highlight for me was hearing Gary Wilmot’s Palladium song, in which he names (almost!) all of the performers who have appeared at the legendary theatre!
I first performed in ‘The Magnificent Music Hall’ back in 2013 - it only took 6 years for them to have me back! That first show was also at the New Wimbledon Theatre and I have fond memories it, especially working with the Chairman Johnny Dennis, a true gentleman who was so supportive of new talent, who is sadly no longer with us. Since its revival in 1988, Johnny was the regular Chairman in ‘The Good Old Days’ at the famous City Varieties Music Hall in Leeds, a position he held for a remarkable 28 years. I’m thrilled to be heading to the City Varieties for the first time very soon! Shows on 22 & 23 March, click here for more.
I’ll also be appearing in the Players’ Theatre Music Hall on Sunday 19 May, at the Museum of Comedy in London. More details here.
