It was a joy to be at the inaugural London Magic Convention. Organised by Andy & Preston Nyman, this was the first gathering of magicians in over 18 months and it was exactly what we needed.
A day full of surprises, Derren Brown made an appearance, sharing tales of touring and ‘The Patrick Page Award’ for Excellence in Magic was presented to the legend that is David Berglas.
I had a lovely surprise myself, being named the ‘London Close-Up Magic Champion’, but more importantly, being awarded the Anthony Owen Trophy means so much. I feel lucky to have met Anthony early on in my little magic journey and he soon became such a supportive friend and mentor.
