I think it's fair to say that no magician has faced more criticism over recent years than Dynamo! Many have dismissed Dynamo's magic as camera tricks... It seems to come with the territory of being on TV. When you watch TV magic, it's easy to ignore the skill of the performer and instead see it all as camera tricks. However, when you see magic performed in front of you, that's when it becomes real. Can Dynamo do it live? That was the big question.
Earlier this year, we got a hint of what was to come when he made a car appear, live in front of an audience, showing he's more than 'just' a TV magician. If I hadn't been there, I may have thought it was down to camera tricks!! See it here.
Recently, I had the pleasure of seeing Dynamo's new stage show. This was certainly his biggest challenge yet. Huge theatres filled with thousands of fans and even bigger expectations.
Dynamo asks audiences to keep the content of the show secret, so I won't spoil any of the surprises! Nevertheless, you'll be pleased to know that not only does he recreate some of his most famous stunts, proving he can do it live, but more importantly he tells his story with incredible charm.
The remaining tour dates are pretty much sold out, although extra seats have just been released. If you can get tickets... GO!!
