There is a show in New York unlike anything you've seen before. In And Of Itself by Derek DelGaudio features some of the most beautiful magic I've ever seen, but calling this a magic show simply doesn't do it justice. I'm not going to tell you what happens, partly because not knowing too much about the show is the best way to experience it and also because it's extremely difficult to describe!
The show is based on a story that "reveals the illusion of one's identity". The meaning of the show will be different for different people, however there are a few moments that the audience experience as one; from witnessing a member of the audience go through a truly magical transformation, to a breathtaking finale that left the entire room speechless.
With it's final ever performance on 19 August 2018, if there's any way you can get to New York to see this... GO!
While in New York, I visited the Fantasma Magic shop. Home to the Houdini Museum, it features an incredible collection of Houdini memorabilia, as well as some treasures from other masters of the past. It really was overwhelming stepping inside - surrounded by priceless posters, props and patents showing the journey of so many of magic's great characters. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
