If you want to see something incredible, don't miss Phil Hitchcock performing with his doves... One of the finest magicians this country has produced, this is a rare chance to see how it should be done!
In my last year at uni, I spent most of my time (maybe a little bit too much!) putting together some variety shows! I love variety and it makes me incredibly happy to see proper variety shows becoming increasingly popular.
I think it's fair to say that no magician has faced more criticism over recent years than Dynamo! Many have dismissed Dynamo's magic as camera tricks... It seems to come with the territory of being on TV.
Over the last year, listening to the Magicians' Podcast has been a highlight of my week. A project run by the brilliant Richard Young, he's been busy interviewing some of the magic world's most interesting characters! Now coming to the end of it's second series, there's an incredible archive to listen to.
I went to Edinburgh again! Last year was my first experience at the Fringe, but this was my first time on stage there. 23 performances later... I think I have a show!
The equivalent of the 'magic olympics', FISM is a huge event which takes place every three years. Named after the organising society (The Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques - International Federation of Magic Societies), having been to FISM Blackpool in 2012, I knew the drill - lots and lots of magic! This time it was held in Rimini, Italy, so there was a little more sunshine than before!
