What a start to 2020... yesterday I won The Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year and became the first person to win all three of the society’s competitions!
I had a wonderful evening at the Gala Night of the London Palladium Panto! An annual Panto visit has become a tradition for me. Not for the reasons you may expect; I don’t take young family with, nor am I about to perform in one… instead I go to experience the magic of Phil Hitchcock!
I was stunned and delighted to be presented with The Magic Circle Children’s Entertainer of the Year Award today by Terry Herbert, the great family entertainer after whom the trophy has been named.
Henry Lewis celebrated his 100th Birthday and I had the honour of being part of a special evening at The Magic Circle to mark the occasion. Henry has been a member of The Magic Circle since 1946 and has had an incredible life filled with magic.
It was a joy to be part of the International Brotherhood of Magicians’ Convention, held in sunny Eastbourne this year. I performed my dove act in the Gala Show and it was an honour to close the convention with my new show ‘Silver’.
It was amazing to return to the Edinburgh Festival! My second time performing at the Fringe, after taking ‘Genie’ there in 2015, this year I took a brand new show called ‘Silver’ - a more stripped back show with no pyrotechnics or big props.
